PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Houston Dynamo Football Club is seeking a Part-Time Gameday Technician responsible for ensuring seamless IT operations during all Gameday activities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for onsite staff regarding IT-related issues, providing real-time troubleshooting and support across network, audio, video, and telephony systems. The technician plays a critical role in maintaining operational continuity and enhancing the Gameday experience for staff and fans alike.
The technician must be a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision, quickly identifying and resolving issues as they arise. This role reports internally to the Director of IT and collaborates closely with stadium operations, broadcast teams, and other technical personnel to ensure all systems are functioning optimally before, during, and after Gameday events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the point of contact for onsite staff for any IT related issues that arise before during and after Gameday activities
Support the gameday operations teams in maintaining hardware, software, and stadium systems
Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support
Organize and maintain IT resources
Participate in the deployment of new hardware and/or applications
Lend IT support in areas such as end user support, troubleshooting, hardware inventory, game day operations, and other needs as assigned
Effectively communicate and document communication issues, escalating as necessary to higher level support
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2-3 years of experience with IT troubleshooting, A/V support, or related experience
Generalist with working knowledge of basic layer 1 troubleshooting and using good judgement to determine when to escalate
Available to work all Houston Dynamo & Dash home matches throughout the season & other stadium events at Shell Energy Stadium throughout the year
Ability to work on-site between approximately 20-30 hours per week
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Ability to work as a self-starter and at times work with little supervision to resolve connectivity issues as they arise
Ability to multitask, prioritize and make efficient decisions
Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays
Strong work ethic with an attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to strive in high-pressure environment while multitasking several responsibilities
