PT - Specialty Beer Store Front Counter and Prep Person

6 Pack House of Beer located at 847 Pittsburgh Ave in Erie, PA

We are a specialty beer store with an open kitchen environment and seating for 60 in our restaurant. We are known throughout Erie for our great customer service and fabulous food!

We are hiring a Part Time "Beer-Tender" (15-20 hours/week)

SHIFTS: 2/3 days a week day /weekends.

Shifts may include: Opening shift: 9:30am -4pm, Mid-shift: 3:45-8:30pm and/or 3pm-Close (10:30pm) or 5pm -Close (10:30pm in rotation

$10/hour + Tips are available after 30 day training period is completed.

To be considered, candidates must have the following requirements:

-Min of 22 years of age

- 2 years RECENT work experience in the bar & food industry, serving draft beer and using a POS/cash register system for transactions

- A Good Knowledge of Craft Beer! We will ask you about this in the interview. So be prepared!

- Happy & Good Attitude! -Ability to make eye contact, greet and speak to customers with a smile!

- Great & Honest work ethic! Ability to work alongside management and other staff members

- Good Time Management skills. Ability to be to show up on time for your shift!

-Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with lots of crowd noise & music

- Self Starter with STRONG ATTENTION to detail and ability to follow directions, system, procedures and policies that are in place and expected to be followed at our business

- Due to our OPEN environment, we REQUIRE employees to have proper personal hygiene and clean appearance while on shift.

- Understanding and following of food safety regulations and their importance in the restaurant industries.
- Must be able to handle pressure during busy times while maintaining a good attitude with customers

Responsibilities include:

-Taking food orders and ringing up customers on a POS/cash system

-Pouring craft draft beers from a draft system

-Money handling/Counting the cash drawers

-Cleaning & Maintaining the front counter, dining room areas, behind the counter and 2 bathrooms

-Washing dishes & Wiping down tables

- Restocking the front counter items (chip, water cups, paper goods, wrapping silverware)
-This position has some Kitchen food prepping included as well.

-Restocking the pop coolers

- Ability to carry a tray of food to our customer's table

- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth operations & correct food orders for customers
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area

-Great skills at interacting with customers in a friendly manner at all times

- Lift up to 30lb

- Ability to Stand 6 to 7 hours for your shift

If hired, all employees are required to take and pass an 3 hour online RAMP certification class.
