Public Area Attendant -Job Description

Main role

You are responsible for keeping all public areas clean, safe, and presentable in a hotel or property (lobby, corridors, toilets, elevators, etc.).

Daily duties

Typical responsibilities include:

• Clean and sanitize:
• Lobbies
• Hallways
• Restrooms
• Elevators
• Sweep, mop, vacuum carpets and floors
• Empty trash bins and replace liners
• Clean glass (windows, mirrors) and furniture
• Refill supplies (toilet paper, soap, towels)
• Report maintenance issues (broken items, leaks, etc.)
• Follow hygiene and safety standards
• Assist guests politely if they ask for help

Skills & Requirements

• High school education (minimum)
• Basic cleaning knowledge
• Physically fit (standing, lifting, walking long hours)
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork + communication skills
