The UNE Portland Student Academic Success Center is a small, collaborative team dedicated to helping students thrive through tutoring. We serve a diverse mix of undergraduate and graduate learners, and our staff and peer educators work closely together in a supportive, student-centered environment where creativity and new ideas are encouraged. It’s an exciting time to join us as we expand our services, strengthen partnerships with faculty, and develop new initiatives to better support students in rigorous health professions programs.
Professional tutors for graduate Public Health facilitate student learning by (a) helping to clarify specific course content and (b) promoting/modeling the use of appropriate study strategies. Supported courses include Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and other graduate public health courses.
This is a part-time, temporary opportunity, with an anticipated commitment of approximately 4 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible based on candidate availability. The position has an anticipated pay of $24.00 per hour.
