The ideal candidate must be a trilingual communicator, capable of navigating complex legal discussions in Arabic, reporting to management and international stakeholders in English, and supporting our diverse workforce in Malayalam. You will work closely with the Business Operations team to ensure a seamless experience for our employees and a risk-free environment for our business operations.
What You Will Do
- Execute the end-to-end processing of all employment visas, residencies, and work permits via GDRFA, MOHRE, and other relevant portals.
- Represent the company in person at government departments including Amer, Tasheel, Dubai Municipality, and Dubai Courts.
- Coordinate all employee-related logistics, including medical fitness tests, Emirates ID biometrics, and visa stamping.
Corporate Compliance & Licensing: - Manage the timely renewal of all Company Trade Licenses, Chamber of Commerce certificates, and establishment cards.
- Liaise with the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and other regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Proactively monitor government portals to identify and resolve any fines, "blocks," or legal restrictions before they impact operations.
- Translate legal documents and government correspondence accurately between Arabic and English.
- Act as a cultural and linguistic bridge for our Malayalam-speaking employees, assisting them with contract explanations and labor-related queries.
- Draft professional English-language reports and updates for senior management regarding the status of the company's legal standing and workforce documentation.
Regulatory Advisory: - Stay updated on the latest UAE Labor Laws, Emiratisation (NAFIS) requirements, and immigration policies.
- Provide expert advice to the leadership team on the cost and operational implications of new government regulations.
What we'd like
- Proven experience as a PRO in Dubai/UAE with a deep understanding of local laws.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
- Trilingual Proficiency: Native or professional-level fluency in Arabic, English, and Malayalam is mandatory for this role.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in using UAE government portals (MOHRE, GDRFA, Smart Services).
- Valid UAE Driving License: Ownership of a personal vehicle is essential for daily visits to government offices.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A demonstrated ability to navigate bureaucratic hurdles and resolve complex documentation issues independently.
Nice to Have
- Established Network: Existing relationships within Dubai government departments to expedite processing.
- Legal Background: A basic understanding of corporate law or paralegal experience in the UAE.
What you'll get
- Your choice of equipment
- Competitive pay and executive-level benefits
- Significant equity via our ESOP
- Incredible co-workers (yep, really!)
- A super nice, flexible, distributed work environment
