High school diploma or GED; three years of increasingly responsible experience in law enforcement records maintenance including one year of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Working knowledge of the principles and practices of law enforcement records management; of pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances and rules. Ability to work under minimal supervision, exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality of work performed; to exercise tact and independent judgment in dealing with the public; to operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers; to supervise staff. Keyboarding skills of at least 40 words per minute preferred. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. This position is considered Critical Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug testing and alcohol testing. The use of illegal drugs, and/or the use of medical marijuana for this position is prohibited. Employees must not consume or be under the influence of alcohol while on duty, on work premises, or operating agency equipment. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice’s “Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy” and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check. Must be a US citizen or be a lawful permanent resident eligible for naturalization.

Supervises and coordinates the daily operational activities of the Police Records Unit shift personnel; ensures compliance with administrative and personnel policies, rules and regulations. Performs entry of incident and other related information in the Police Records Management System; performs quality control audits of data. Perform other work as required.

4 days/week; 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.; days vary to include weekends and holidays, as well occasional on-callPolice
