Purchase and Logistics Executive

The Company: A company backed with more than 20 years of expertise in developing specialty activated carbon filter media and having a full-fledged state of the art R&D, we hace grown to be the largest supplier of NBC filter media, filter systems and Activated Carbon Sphere (ACS) for Indian defense forces.

Job Purpose

The Purchase & Logistics Executive will be primarily responsible for end-to-end procurement activities—from receipt of approved indents to timely availability of materials—while handling basic logistics coordination to ensure smooth inward movement of materials with minimal disruption to production.

Role Weightage:
Purchase – 80% | Logistics – 20%

Key Responsibilities

A. Purchase & Procurement (Primary – 80%)

1. Indent & Requisition Tracking
2. Vendor Management & Sourcing
3. Purchase Order Management
4. Material Follow-up & Supply Assurance
5. Quality, Compliance & Cost Control

B. Logistics Coordination (Secondary – 20%)

1. Coordinate basic inbound logistics with vendors and transporters for material dispatch.
2. Documentation & Reporting

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of purchase processes in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent follow-up, coordination, and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple indents and priorities effectively
• Working knowledge of GST, purchase documentation, and ERP systems
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting
• Must be flexible as and when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Engineering
• 4–5 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement (logistics exposure preferred but limited)

• Timely closure of indents
• On-time material availability
• Reduction in production stoppages due to material shortage
• Vendor delivery adherence
• Cost savings and process efficiency
