Purchase Assistant - Junior

Position Overview

The Junior Purchase Assistant will support the procurement department in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials, equipment, and services required by the company. This role involves assisting in vendor communication, maintaining purchase records, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while following company policies and cost-efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing purchase orders and follow up on approvals.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Support in evaluating vendor quotations and comparing prices, specifications, and delivery terms.
  • Maintain updated records of purchases, delivery details, and invoices.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory levels and raising requisitions for replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Follow up with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Assist in handling documentation related to procurement, such as LPOs, GRNs, and contracts.
  • Support senior purchase staff in vendor development and negotiation activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the procurement department, including filing and data entry.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative roles (fresh graduates may apply).
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
