PURCHASE OFFICER w/ INTERIOR DECORATION BACK GROUND

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for outdoor advertising operations. This includes managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards. The role supports campaign production, installation, and maintenance by ensuring all required resources are available when needed.

  • Familiarity with local and international suppliers of advertising materials.
  • Experience in working closely with creative, production, and installation teams.
  • Understanding of environmental and safety regulations related to outdoor structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Sourcing:
  • Source and evaluate suppliers for printing materials (e.g., flex, vinyl, mesh), lighting systems, steel frames, and installation equipment.
  • Obtain and analyze quotes, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Issue purchase orders and confirm orders with vendors.
  • Inventory & Logistics:
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and installation teams to forecast demand.
  • Track shipments, manage delivery timelines, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and stock levels.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers and contractors.
  • Evaluate vendor performance regularly based on quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Research and onboard new suppliers as needed.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting:
  • Work with finance and operations teams to manage procurement budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and industry standards.
  • Prepare procurement reports, contracts, and other necessary documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in advertising, construction, or production-based industries.
  • Knowledge of materials used in outdoor advertising (e.g., billboard printing substrates, lighting, fabrication components).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
