Job Description: Purchase Engineer (1-2 Years of Experience)

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the valve industry and a strong understanding of procurement processes. As a Purchase Engineer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of materials and components. Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management: Source and procure goods, materials, and services in accordance with company requirements and project specifications.

Supplier Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers, ensuring that they meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, conduct price and quality negotiations, and manage ongoing supplier performance.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or overstock situations, ensuring the timely availability of materials.

Cost Control: Analyse cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to reduce procurement expenses.

Documentation & Reporting: Prepare purchase orders, maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, and generate reports as required.

Project Support: Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to procurement.

Travel: Be willing to travel for supplier visits, factory audits, and project-related activities as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, preferably within the valve or manufacturing industry.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering components, particularly valves and related products.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors for pricing, lead times, and delivery conditions.

Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in procurement processes.

Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel for business-related activities (e.g., supplier visits, plant audits).

Software Proficiency: Experience with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

Educational Requirements:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
