Purchase Engineer

Position: Executive – Purchase / Engineer – Purchase

Qualification: Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (from a government-recognized institute)

Experience: 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or auto ancillary environment

Salary: Rs. 30,000 to 35,000 ctc per month

Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold and enforce the company’s purchasing policy, ensuring compliance across all procurement activities.
• Collaborate closely with various departments, including Accounting, Manufacturing, and Stock, to streamline procurement operations.
• Oversee sourcing, negotiation, and procurement activities, both domestic and international, while managing budgeting, costing, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage import documentation, including RFQs, Quotations, Purchase Orders, Sales Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Bill of Lading, Bill of Entry, Customs Clearance, and Freight Forwarding.
• Exhibit strong communication and negotiation skills in dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and ERP/SAP systems.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as quality standards, delivery timelines, and pricing to ensure alignment with organizational goals and expectations.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Additional experience in handling import procedures for procurement of raw materials, machinery spares, tooling, and capital items will be considered an advantage.
