Qualification: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 1 to 3 years

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Purchase Engineer with a strong techno-commercial background to manage procurement activities for steel, glass, door & window hardware, and related accessories used in the building industry — including glass partitions, railings, and security products.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and source suppliers for steel, glass, and hardware materials related to construction and architectural products.

Negotiate effectively with vendors to achieve competitive pricing, favorable terms, and ensure quality and timely delivery.

Ensure all price confirmations and purchase orders are approved by the Purchase Head before finalization.

Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (P.O.) with clear terms and conditions to safeguard company interests.

Coordinate with internal departments to understand material requirements and maintain adequate inventory levels.

Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and service standards.

Maintain updated records of suppliers, pricing, and market trends.

Manage import/export documentation and ensure compliance with Excise, GST, and other taxation laws.

Support the development of new vendors and maintain healthy supplier relationships.

Ensure timely follow-up on delivery commitments and logistics coordination.

Evaluate technical specifications and ensure materials meet the required standards.

Prepare and maintain a daily purchase report, to be reviewed and signed by the Purchase Head.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Excellent knowledge of procurement procedures and commercial terms

Understanding of import/export regulations, excise & taxation laws

Techno-commercial acumen with the ability to analyze both technical and cost aspects

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems

Good vendor management and sourcing capabilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
