Job Description:

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities related to engineering materials, equipment, and services. The role involves sourcing, vendor coordination, cost optimization, and ensuring timely material availability for projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and source suppliers for engineering materials and components.

Prepare and issue enquiries, evaluate quotations, and finalize purchase orders.

Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with vendors.

Coordinate with the project, design, and stores teams for material planning and delivery follow-up.

Track and monitor purchase costs, budgets, and material quality.

Support digital procurement initiatives and ERP documentation.

Requirements:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or related engineering discipline.

3–6 years of experience in purchase and procurement (preferably in manufacturing or project industry)

Good understanding of technical specifications, BOQs, and engineering drawings.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel.

Ability to handle multiple purchase requirements and meet deadlines.
