Purchase Engineer

Job Summary

Thermo Heat Transfers Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and technically sound Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, storage tanks, HSD systems, and piping projects.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of engineering materials, vendor coordination, technical specification review, and cost optimization, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Specification Review:
• Study and understand engineering drawings, material specifications, and project requirements before procurement.
• Vendor Development & Evaluation:

Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors for raw materials and bought-out items such as:

• Plates (IS 2062, SA 516, etc.)
• Pipes & fittings
• Flanges
• Fasteners
• Valves
• Pumps and accessories
• RFQ & Quotation Handling:

Float RFQs, compare quotations technically and commercially, and prepare comparative statements.Procure materials strictly as per approved Bill of Materials (BOM) and project drawings.Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with vendors.Prepare and issue Purchase Orders with clear technical and commercial terms.Track material delivery schedules to ensure alignment with project timelines.Coordinate with QA/QC team for MTCs, certifications, and inspection requirements.Maintain procurement records, vendor database, and ensure proper documentation.Required Skills & Competencies

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 1–5 years of experience in engineering or industrial procurement
• (Freshers with strong technical understanding may also be considered for Junior Purchase role)

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Experience in procurement for:
• Pressure vessels
• Heat exchangers
• Fabrication industries
• Understanding of ASME-related material requirements
• Experience handling inspection documents (MTC, NDT reports)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
