Purchase Executive – Job Description.
- Manage and maintain relationship with suppliers and vendors.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain and update supplier databases and purchase records.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g. accounts, production, project manager) to identify procurement needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
- Follow up with vendors regarding order status, delays, or discrepancies.
- Source and evaluate new suppliers and products.
- Prepare Delivery Challan (DC) during the dispatch of materials to ensure accurate documentation of goods being transported.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Analyze market trends and make recommendations for cost savings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing/procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Email)
- Good understanding of market dynamics and supplier sourcing.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
