Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to join our team in the manufacturing sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company’s procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with production demands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating the best prices for materials, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate procurement records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Ensure the company receives competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and high-quality products from suppliers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to meet production schedules and resolve any procurement issues.
  • Purchasing:
  • Procure raw materials, components, and other goods necessary for manufacturing in accordance with production requirements.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
  • Ensure that the procurement process is compliant with company policies and industry standards.
  • Inventory Control:
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stock when required.
  • Work closely with the inventory team to track the consumption and usage of purchased items.
  • Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining product quality.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that the quality of the materials purchased meets the company’s standards.
  • Liaise with the Quality Control team to address any issues related to the quality of received goods.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and procurement reports.
  • Prepare monthly procurement reports detailing expenses, savings, and procurement status.
  • Track supplier performance and resolve discrepancies in invoices, quantities, or delivery.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with production, logistics, and finance departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Stay updated on market trends and changes in supply chain dynamics.

Key Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement (CIPS, CPIM) is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems or procurement software.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of international procurement practices (for global sourcing) is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
