Responsibilities

  • Supplier management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery timelines. Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to get the best prices.
  • Procurement process: Collate purchase orders and requisitions to order materials. Track orders, review deliveries, and resolve issues with non-delivered, under-ordered, or damaged goods.
  • Inventory management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize costs. Ensure timely replenishment of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Internal coordination: Work with various departments to understand their procurement needs and collaborate on forecasting demand.
  • Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery information, and invoices. Produce and maintain reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Quality and compliance: Ensure purchased products and services meet quality standards and are delivered on time. Stay updated on relevant industry trends and regulations.
  • Finance and reporting: Work with the finance department to ensure timely payments and ensure compliance with budget adherence.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is often required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role is crucial.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical and cost-analysis abilities.
  • Proficiency with procurement software, such as SAP.
  • Knowledge of supply chain procedures.
  • Attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
