Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for automotive parts and materials.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
- Procurement Operations
- Raise purchase orders (POs) based on material requisitions.
- Ensure timely procurement of components, consumables, and tools.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Coordinate with production and stores departments for material planning.
- Cost Control & Negotiation
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Conduct cost analysis to achieve savings and maintain profitability.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain all purchase-related documentation (POs, GRNs, invoices, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and company procurement policies.
- Follow-Up & Coordination
- Track and expedite deliveries to meet production deadlines.
- Handle supplier complaints and resolve delivery or quality issues.
- Market Research
- Analyze market trends, new materials, and alternate suppliers.
- Keep updated on automotive spare parts pricing and innovations.
