Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Executive specialized in Welding Equipment's & Accessories purchase to join our team. The Purchase Executive will be responsible for effectively focusing and executing the procurement procedures, and achieving purchase targets within the time frame.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ensure products and services meet quality expectations, are on time and are in accordance with the customer needs.
- Develop and grow new relationships with suppliers/manufacturers.
- Implement the proper metrics, SLAs, and measurements to drive and document improvements and provide routine and ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Ensure supplier diversity requirements are met for off-program spend.
- Interface with Accounts Payable to ensure a smooth and consistent end-to-end procure to pay process.
- Develop continuous training required to keep team apprised of business situations as they affect Procurement policy.
- Purchase process co-ordination - they will manage and implement the purchasing process for all technology related expenses using the relevant system.
- Vendor management - this employee will maintain sound working relationships with vendors to ensure responsive service and timely resolution of all issues. The grading of vendors should be determined and approved.
- Asset and order tracking - the Procurement Executive will track assets and orders and provide regular tracking reports and status updates on orders.
- Cost management- these employees create spend forecasts and then monitor these against the actual spend.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of Domestic & Import Logistics and INCOTERMS.
- PO Creation and coordination with manufacturers/suppliers to resolve issues on purchase Requisition, PO, Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt.
- Import purchase and activities.
- Maintain reports and timely update to Managers.
- Coordination with internal departments.
- New Vendor development. Manage, evaluate and monitor the certifications of suppliers
- Transportation of the machines.
- Coordination for delivery services/ couriers & tracking.
- Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts to non-technical customers.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills. Support to Managers in the execution of cost reduction programs.
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and knowledge in ERP is a plus
