Purchase Manager - Manufacturing Company

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Purchase Manager to oversee and manage the procurement and purchasing activities for our organization. This individual will be responsible for vendor creation, management, and relationship building, as well as the negotiation of contracts and securing the best prices and terms. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional analytical, negotiation, and networking skills, ensuring the company acquires goods and services at the best possible quality and cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Develop, manage, and maintain strong, productive relationships with key suppliers and vendors, ensuring the continuous supply of quality products and services.
  • Vendor Creation: Oversee the process of establishing new vendor accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies, and reviewing the reliability and financial stability of potential suppliers.
  • Negotiation: Lead the negotiation of contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, timely deliveries, and favourable conditions.
  • Purchase Strategy: Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies aligned with the company’s goals, optimizing supply chain efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with the logistics and inventory teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services while managing supplier performance and resolving any supply-related issues.
  • Market Research & Networking: Continuously research market trends, new products, and alternative suppliers. Build a robust network of industry contacts and engage with new suppliers to ensure a competitive edge.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and vendor communications.
  • Reporting: Regularly report procurement performance, savings, and vendor issues to management, recommending improvements and strategies for more efficient purchasing processes.
  • Inventory Management: Work with the inventory team to avoid overstocking and understocking, ensuring adequate supply levels while optimizing storage costs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
