PURCHASE OFFICER

BEST CONFIDENCE SHIP REPAIR LLC is seeking a Purchase Officer to support the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for marine and industrial operations.

The role involves sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining procurement compliance with company standards and UAE regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and quality.

• Issue purchase requests, obtain quotations, and prepare purchase orders.

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the operations team for replenishment.

• Ensure on-time delivery of materials and track shipments.

• Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor lists, and compliance documentation.

• Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.

• Support vendor evaluation and cost reduction initiatives.

• Handle urgent purchase requirements and liaise with stakeholders effectively.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.

Experience:

2–3 years in procurement/purchase (marine industry experience preferred).

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of procurement cycle, vendor management, and market analysis.

16 • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure.

• Team player with cross-departmental coordination.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Supply Chain Management / Procurement certifications.

• Knowledge of UAE VAT and import/export compliance.

Working Conditions: • Office-based with occasional site visits to suppliers, shipyards, or warehouses.

• Ability to manage urgent requirements during vessel operations.
