Job Title: Purchase Officer – Building Materials

Job Summary:

Mars Trading LLC, a fast-growing Building Materials Trading company, is looking for a proactive and results-driven Purchase Officer. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building materials procurement, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relations and customer follow-ups to ensure smooth purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day purchasing operations for building materials.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Follow up with customers on quotations until securing the Purchase Order (PO).
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and distributors for MEP, Civil, and Building Materials.
• Coordinate with logistics/delivery teams and follow up on Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
• Ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve any supply or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier agreements, and payment schedules.
• Monitor market trends and identify new suppliers to expand product lines and opportunities.
• Support management with procurement reports and updates.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2–5 years of proven procurement/purchasing experience in the Building Materials industry (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of construction and building material products.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written & spoken); Hindi/Urdu is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of UAE building materials market and vendor network is preferred.
