Job Title: Purchase Officer

Reports To: Purchase/Procurement Manager

.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Process Management:

Source and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.

Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous deals.

Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.

Maintain and update procurement records such as supplier data, purchase orders, and delivery statuses.

Vendor and Supplier Management:

Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.

Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Evaluate and audit suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.

Inventory and Stock Control:

Coordinate with the inventory team to track and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory.

Ensure materials are available when needed for uninterrupted production.

Monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock to minimize waste.

Cost Optimization:

Identify opportunities for cost savings through bulk purchasing, supplier negotiations, and alternative sourcing.

Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on price trends, new suppliers, and changes in market conditions.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and quality standards.

Maintain accurate records of supplier agreements, quotations, and invoices.

Coordination with Departments:

Collaborate with production, quality control, and engineering teams to ensure material specifications are met.

Address and resolve any issues related to material shortages, quality concerns, or supplier performance.

Reporting:

Generate reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and inventory levels for management review.

Key Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

A diploma or certification in procurement or materials management is an advantage.

Experience:

1-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing in the manufacturing industry.

Proven experience in vendor management and cost negotiation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
