Purchase Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, and quality standards.
  • Procurement & Purchasing: Process purchase orders (POs), track deliveries, and ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, aligning with production or project schedules.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and quotes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, contracts, and invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer, Assistant, or similar role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR4,000.00 per month
