Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Purchase Officer with MEP experience to manage procurement activities for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining cost control while meeting project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of MEP materials including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, piping, firefighting, and related construction items.
• Obtain quotations, conduct price comparisons, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with project engineers, storekeepers, and site teams regarding material requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
• Maintain approved vendor and supplier database.
• Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Verify material submittals and compliance with project specifications.
• Follow company procurement policies and documentation procedures.
• Track delivery schedules and resolve supply-related issues.
• Maintain procurement records, invoices, and documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years UAE experience as Purchase Officer in MEP/Maintenance/Construction industry (Mandatory).
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of MEP materials, suppliers, and UAE market pricing.
• Experience working with contractors or MEP companies.
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
