Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Purchaser with strong experience in contracting works and requirements. The ideal candidate will also have solid knowledge of logistics operations and vendor management in the UAE market. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement to support ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle procurement of materials, equipment, and services for contracting projects.
  • Identify reliable suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to secure the best value while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and logistics teams to align procurement with project needs.
  • Monitor stock levels, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, RFQs, and LPOs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support logistics and supply chain activities to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Maintain updated records of suppliers, materials, and price lists.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Purchaser/Procurement Officer, preferably in contracting works.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations in Sharjah/UAE.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software/ERP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).
