Develop and implement a data-driven purchasing strategy for all stores.

Establish and maintain par levels, reorder points, and safety stock based on sales velocity and seasonality.

Use AI forecasting tools to predict demand and automate reorder recommendations.

Align purchasing schedules with finance and store operations to balance stock levels and cash flow.

Monitor inventory across multiple locations to minimize stockouts and overstock.

Lead the rollout of standardized SOPs for purchasing, receiving, and reconciliation.

Track and report on inventory KPIs: stock turns, GMROI, aged inventory, and stockout rate.

Conduct regular SKU rationalization reviews to optimize product mix and margin contribution.

Build and maintain dashboards integrating Dutchie, Headset, Pistil, and other data.

Analyze category performance and product velocity to support marketing, pricing, and promotion planning.

Provide weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable insights for leadership.

Develop and maintain vendor relationships across all product categories.

Create and manage vendor scorecards to track fill rates, pricing accuracy, and delivery performance.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and promotional programs with top vendors.

Ensure all purchasing activities comply with METRC and state cannabis regulations.

Collaborate closely with finance, retail operations, and compliance teams to streamline workflows.

Train store-level staff on inventory best practices and purchasing protocols.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

3+ years in retail or CPG purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain operations.

Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred.

Proven success implementing data-based purchasing systems or AI-driven forecasting.

Experience managing inventory across multiple store locations.

Deep Excel/Office skills (pivot tables, forecasting models, dashboards).

Experience with Dutchie POS, Headset, Pistil, and METRC (Or similar).

Familiarity with Prelude or other AI forecasting tools (Hypersonix, Flourish, etc.).

Experience with Power BI, Airtable, or similar reporting tools a plus.

We’re seeking an experienced, analytical, and highly organized Purchasing and Inventory Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory planning, and vendor management across all Herbology locations. This role will be responsible for developing a comprehensive purchasing program including establishing par levels, forecasting product demand, and implementing AI-driven purchasing workflows that ensure optimal inventory levels, reduce aging stock, and align with sales velocity and margin goals. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on comfortable in spreadsheets, dashboards, and vendor meetings alike. You’ll leverage tools like Dutchie, Headset, Pistil, to turn data into clear, profitable decisions.
