Job Purpose
  • Vendor development for localization
  • Purchase direct & indirect materials as per demand
  • Settle purchase rates & negotiate with suppliers
  • Conduct supplier quality audits
  • Handle commodities such as mechanical machined, electrical, fabricated, press, forged, casted parts of switchgear or manufacturing industry & consumables
Job Context

Ensure all rate settlements are done according to purchasing policy, develop new vendors for localization, achieve cost reduction through various methods, and improve supplier quality.

Job Dimensions

Develop vendors for direct & indirect materials based on demand, find alternative suppliers, reduce costs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Key Accountabilities
  • Source new suppliers following QMS guidelines of LSA
  • Review drawings and specifications
  • Develop localization of commodities in KSA
  • Perform should-cost analysis for requirements
  • Coordinate with internal technical stakeholders for due diligence of new suppliers/parts
  • Float formal enquiries in favor of LSA
  • Support suppliers in development & passing samples per global standards
  • Manage tool/die development and associated contracts & logs
  • Improve supplier quality & delivery
  • Achieve YoY cost reductions from existing sources
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Over 4 years of experience in purchasing or vendor development, including electrical/mechanical/consumables procurement
  • Delivery OTIF: at least 96%
  • Quality PPM: 250 or less for assigned commodities
  • Cost reduction: 3% YoY for assigned commodities
  • Adherence to QMS and contract management (100%)
  • Experience in PR to PO process to support production
  • Experience in working with global suppliers
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or Engineering with Supply Chain certification
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and technical knowledge in electrical & mechanical materials
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft AX
  • Experience in Middle East market is an advantage
