A Global Leader in Manufacturing of Electro-Mechanical & Cable Assemblies, is seeking to fill the position of Purchasing Expeditor, providing support to the Purchasing Manager in all aspects of the Purchasing Procedures.
This is an entry-level position; job training will be provided
This position interacts with all groups within the company in a team-orientated role, and therefore requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate by phone, in person, and in writing
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in mathematics, be a team player, have a strong focus in managing repetitive tasks, have the ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines
Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Initiating purchase orders, buying merchandise, and managing inventory
· Expedite high priority Purchase Orders
· Generates Overdue Reports, Follows up with Suppliers regarding delivery issues
· Performs Inventory Cycle Counts
· Updates Kitting and Wire "Short Shelf"
· Consults with vendors, printed catalogs, online sites to obtain and compare prices and specifications
· Works in conjunctions with Accounts Payable in research of vendor invoice issues such as price discrepancies, shortages, and returns
· Prepare reports and statistics using computer software
· Maintains and Orders Office Supplies and Janitorial Items
· Perform other manufacturing related tasks as may be assigned
Preferred Education, Experience, and Competencies:
· Proficiency in procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory tracking
· Strong communication and negotiation skills for supplier interactions
· Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
· Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
· Familiarity with manufacturing or supply chain software and tools is an advantage
· Prior experience in a purchasing or supply chain-related role is preferred
· High school diploma; Business Administration, or related field is a plus
· Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture
· MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook
· Experience with ERP/MRP helpful, but not required
· Math Skills: Addition, Subtraction, Counting, Measuring
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
