Purchasing Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement processes and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, sourcing, materials and inventory management, with extensive experience using ERP systems such as JobBOSS 3. This role is crucial for ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly by effectively managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Oversee supplier management to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast inventory needs and manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
• Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and negotiate pricing agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement practices.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock while optimizing logistics operations.
• Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance and implement improvements as necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as JobBOSS2 is essential.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, including logistics and vendor management.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to purchasing and inventory control.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
