Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing/Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s Purchasing accounts, ensuring timely ordering of parts and items needed for continued production and success for the business. On the backside, the candidate will need a keen eye for Accounts Payable and processing invoices against packing slips, and proper payable entry.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase parts using information from quote documents, bill of material (B.O.M.), Quickbook (QB) reports, manager directions and assembly drawing(s), as required for upcoming jobs or to maintain specified stock levels.
  • Create, save, organize and file all documents related to parts quotes, purchases and receipts.
  • Compare vendor invoices to purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Enter shipping costs and other bills generated to support operations.
  • Audit receiving documents to ensure accurate entries by Shipper/Receivers.
  • Assist inventory control procedures by providing reports for cycle counting, verification of on hand balances and report part discrepancies, B.O.M. and routing errors; adjust inventory as directed by these activities.
  • Communicate with vendors as necessary regarding orders, inventory, shipments, special pricing agreements and other actions related to inventory
  • Utilize software programs to track inventory, create various bill of materials (B.O.M.), provide required reports and documents to support the business.
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable—providing documentation for all payments.
  • Administer and reconcile the company credit card accounts, including review of monthly reporting/receipts from all cardholders
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Ability to create legible and accurate documentation for communication within the company and externally.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and attention to detail
  • Ability to utilize software programs to assist with parts inventory tasks (purchase orders, receiving inventory, cycle counts)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a constant evolving and changing environment
  • Ability to communicate with team members from other departments on various matters in the position.
  • Three (3) year minimum experience in a similar position
  • QuickBooks experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
