Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer established supplier agreements and develop new supplier relationships
- Handle day-to-day communication with suppliers
- Maintain metrics for function/supplier performance
- Work with Quality Department about supplier quality assurance
- Maintain the highest level of integrity while communication with suppliers
- Submits purchase orders to suppliers when required
- Administers annual audits to suppliers to ensure quality of products and cost effectiveness
- Oversees supplier performance for North America operations
- Maintain procurement budgeting process
- Coordinate with the Key Account Managers during RFQ process
- Responsible for initial purchase orders and PPAP documents per purchasing process
- Work with Key Account Managers to transition projects from development to production
- Communicate professionally with all internal departments
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops: reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Oversees Purchasing Administrator
- Update Qualification Matrix quarterly
- Supports Quality Department during customer complaints that effect purchasing supply base
- Reports department KPI’s weekly/monthly
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- Associates degree with advanced training and commensurate experience in purchasing and/or procurement
- Bachelor’s degree in field of Purchasing and/or Procurement
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an intermediate level purchasing capacity
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement and/or buying automotive fasteners
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for all employees within the Purchasing Department.
