Job Summary

As the Purchasing Manager for our Hospitality Division, you will oversee sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management to support operations in food & beverage, rooms, maintenance, housekeeping, and more. You will lead a small team, negotiate with suppliers, manage inventory, and contribute to cost-savings initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with the company’s financial goals and operational needs.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for goods and services (F&B, cleaning products, maintenance, capital equipment, etc.).
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other procurement terms.
  • Lead and mentor the purchasing team, ensuring strong performance and professional development.
  • Manage purchase orders, requisitions, and approval processes; expedite deliveries when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., F&B director, engineering, housekeeping) to understand demand forecasts, par levels, and operational needs.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels; set and maintain minimum/maximum (par) stock levels.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and perform regular supplier evaluations (quality, delivery, cost, reliability).
  • Identify cost savings opportunities and efficiency improvements; produce regular reports on procurement performance and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.
  • Support sustainability and ESG objectives by sourcing responsibly (local vendors, green products, etc.).
  • Participate in budget planning in coordination with the Finance department.
  • Oversee and participate in inventory audits (food, operating supplies, equipment).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain / Logistics, Hotel Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement / purchasing experience, preferably in hospitality (hotel or restaurant) or a related industry. Some hotel chains require 3–5 years in a leadership purchasing role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven vendor management experience.
  • Excellent analytical, financial, and reporting skills; experience with cost-saving initiatives.
  • Good knowledge of inventory management and procurement software / ERP systems.
  • Leadership capabilities: able to lead and develop a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with different departments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours; procurement in hospitality often requires adaptability.
  • Integrity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
