Supply Chain Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage the supply chain: Oversee the entire process from start to finish, ensuring efficient transportation and delivery of products.
• Supplier and vendor relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including contract negotiation, to ensure quality products and best terms.
• Inventory and logistics: Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand efficiently and coordinate transportation and logistics activities.
• Data analysis: Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and implement improvements to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with internal teams, such as procurement, logistics, and sales, to align processes and achieve business goals.
• Performance: Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contracts, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to quality standards

Required skills & Qualification

• Analytical and problem-solving: Ability to identify issues and develop solutions to optimize the supply chain.
• Communication: Strong skills to collaborate with vendors, customers, and colleagues and explain complex processes clearly.
• Technical proficiency: Familiarity with supply chain management software and data analysis tools is often required.
• Organizational skills: Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strategic thinking: Ability to make strategic decisions and adapt to evolving market conditions.
• Academic Qualification: A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is often preferred.
• Previous Experience: Relevant work experience in a supply chain role is typically required.
• Professional certifications, such as CPIM or CSCP, are a plus.
