looking for a purchasing officer to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required by the company. The ideal candidate will ensure that all purchases are made in a timely, cost-effective manner and in compliance with company policies and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services at the best possible prices and quality.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate terms of contracts and pricing.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and storekeepers to ensure material requirements are met.
  • Track and report key procurement metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, procedures, and budget guidelines.
  • Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers.
  • Assist in preparing procurement reports and maintaining cost control.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in construction or contracting.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local and international suppliers and market trends.
  • Valid Qatar driving license (preferred).
