Main job duties and responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
  2. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and building strong relationships with vendors.
  3. Monitor vendor performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual agreements.
  4. Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and payment conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising on quality.
  5. Continuously assess market conditions and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  6. Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  7. Coordinate with various departments to verify specifications and requirements for goods and services.
  8. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions that may impact procurement activities.
  10. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and agreements.
  11. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, logistics, and project management, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
  13. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and vendors to address issues and streamline operations.
  14. Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job’s specialty.


Job requirements:

Educational background and previous experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  2. From 4 – 6 years proven work experience in a similar role.


Knowledge and Functional Skills:

  1. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  3. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  5. Good MS Office Applications knowledge.
  6. Analytical skills with detailed oriented.
  7. Problem-solving skills.
