QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

MR.DIY stores offer a wide selection of — approximately 18,000 SKUs — across 5 major categories, namely hardware; household and furnishing; electrical; stationery and sports equipment products; and others (comprising amongst others toys, car accessories, jewellery, and cosmetics).

We are looking for a PURCHASING SUPERVISOR for the Purchasing Department.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Purchasing especially in retail.
• Bachelor’s Degree from the department of Engineering or Economics and Administrative Sciences
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Eg. Excel, PowerPoint)
• Analytical thinking, problem solving and strong negotiation /communication skills
• Self-disciplined and quick learner
• Being teamwork-oriented
• Strong follow-up skills
• No restrictions for frequent supplier and warehouse visits and fairs.
• Preferably experienced in Household category

Responsibilities:

• Continuously sourcing for new suppliers / manufacturers in the local region.
• Attending fairs in order to track trends,looking for new products and new suppliers.
• Tracking and analyzing sales reports in order to review the products sales performance.
• Preparing new product proposals and price comparison by market surveys frequently in order to meet the number of the local SKU target of the country.
• Working closely with the suppliers and global team to review and manage the product range by following them up from the product selection until the delivery.
• Supporting the stores and warehouse in terms of local purchasing of the required products
• Being in contact with global team for the purchasing processes.
• Attending regular meetings with the global team.
