Purchasing & Supply Chain Officer - Mechanical, Biomedical, Laboratory

About the Role

We are seeking a Purchasing & Supply Chain Officer with a background in Mechanical, Biomedical, Laboratory, or related engineering fields to join our team. The role focuses on managing procurement activities, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support our projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for equipment, materials, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Track and monitor orders, shipments, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and industry requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Optimize supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Resolve issues related to purchase orders, delays, or supplier performance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory/Science-related fields, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, supply chain workflows, and vendor management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
