Key Responsibilities
1. Business Performance & Target Achievement
- Deliver on company and departmental KPIs for instant retail, including GMV, order volume, and platform growth targets.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning, including platform expansion, onboarding new channels, and sunsetting underperforming ones.
2. Product Maintenance & Catalog Management
- Maintain and continuously optimize product listings across all platforms, including:
– Product names, pricing (aligned with in-store prices), images/videos, and detailed descriptions.
– Daily inventory refresh to prevent stockouts, returns, and customer complaints.
- Regularly onboard new products and retire obsolete SKUs to keep the catalog competitive and current.
3. Financial Reconciliation
- Track and reconcile payments received from all platforms on a per-cycle basis.
- Document and escalate disputed transactions with clear summaries and follow-up records.
4. Promotions & Campaign Management
- Plan and execute monthly promotional campaigns across platforms to drive sales uplift.
- Prepare promotional proposals in advance and develop clear execution plans with defined KPIs.
5. Customer Experience & After-Sales
- Manage returns and exchanges across all instant retail platforms in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records.
- Handle customer complaints proactively, ensuring all incidents are logged and resolved efficiently.
6. Marketing & Advertising
- Coordinate with the design and marketing teams to support new product launches and featured promotions.
- Plan and execute geo-targeted and store-specific advertising campaigns.
- Deliver monthly performance reports on ad spend, reach, and conversion outcomes.
7. Market Intelligence & Planning
- Stay current on e-commerce and q-commerce trends, competitor activity, and platform developments in the UAE.
- Proactively recommend and implement strategic adjustments, such as launching new platforms, closing underperforming ones, or expanding dark store coverage into new areas.
8. External Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with platform account managers and operations teams across Talabat, InstaShop, NowNow, and others.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with platform contacts, including greetings during UAE national holidays and cultural occasions.
9. Internal Collaboration & Team Development
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal departments (logistics, marketing, finance, store operations).
- Coach, train, and support junior team members in daily operations and performance management.
- Maintain clean and accurate internal data records and reporting.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Instant Retail Operations Lead or equivalent role in the UAE market, specifically managing platforms such as Talabat, InstaShop, or NowNow.
- Proven track record of managing operations at scale — must meet at least one of the following:
– Annual platform GMV of AED 300,000+ (or equivalent)
– Managing a network of 30+ active stores across platforms
