QA Automation Engineer

What You’ll Do

This role is suited for a highly motivated and technically strong individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while ensuring quality at scale.

Test Strategy & Automation

• Define, author, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test specifications for new and existing product features.
• Design, develop, and implement automation scripts for regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Maintain and continuously enhance test automation frameworks for web applications and RESTful APIs.

Functional & Non-Functional Testing

• Perform both manual and automated testing of RESTful APIs and UI components.
• Validate system performance, scalability, and reliability for enterprise SaaS applications.
• Ensure high-quality releases through thorough test execution and defect validation.

Collaboration & Defect Management

• Work closely with developers, product managers, UX designers, and customer support teams to identify, analyze, and resolve defects.
• Log, track, troubleshoot, and manage defects using JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure quality alignment.

CI/CD & Cloud Quality Enablement

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support quality assurance processes within cloud-native and containerized environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices aligned with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

What You Know

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation and testing.
• Automation Tools: Strong experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in Java or scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Testing Expertise: Solid experience in testing RESTful APIs, UI, and end-to-end workflows.
• Cloud & SaaS: Hands-on experience testing SaaS platforms deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Observability Tools: Experience with tools like Splunk, New Relic, or Datadog.
• DevOps Exposure: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Operating Systems: Strong understanding of Linux environments (Ubuntu, Red Hat).
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Mindset: Growth-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Pay: Rs300,000.00 - Rs450,000.00 per month
