About the Project

We’re looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our team for a project focused on enhancing and scaling an existing test automation framework for a large-scale SaaS product.The role involves modernizing and optimizing both UI automation (Cypress) and API automation, improving test reliability, and expanding coverage across critical business workflows. You’ll collaborate closely with our internal QA lead and client engineering teams to deliver a more stable and scalable automation system.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize existing Cypress UI automation framework built for a web-based dashboard and widget.
• Analyze and enhance existing API automation scripts across multiple modules.
• Identify test coverage gaps and write new automation scripts for high-priority user flows.
• Refactor and restructure the framework to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Implement QA automation best practices, reusable components, and test standards.
• Troubleshoot and eliminate flaky or unstable tests to improve overall reliability.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Generate and maintain detailed test reports and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint reviews, test planning, and daily standups as part of the Agile cycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation with strong focus on Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of API testing using Postman, Newman, or REST-Assured.
• Familiarity with Angular-based applications and DOM structure.
• Experience integrating test suites with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of automation framework design patterns (POM, data-driven testing, modular architecture).
• Experience with test reporting tools such as Mochawesome, Allure, or TestRail.
• Strong grasp of QA methodologies, defect tracking, and Agile development practices.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for working with distributed teams.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Playwright or Cucumber frameworks.
• Experience with performance or load testing (JMeter, k6, etc.).
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized test environments.
• Background in SaaS, FinTech, or e-commerce platforms.
