QA Engineer

We're looking for a QA Engineer to own quality across our React Native mobile app and Node.js/MongoDB backend. You'll test real-time, high-interaction features like live streaming and virtual gifting, where async behavior, animations, and in-app payments make quality genuinely challenging.

What You'll Do

Build and maintain E2E test suites for our React Native app (Detox / Maestro)

Test live streaming flows: joining rooms, real-time chat, reconnection, viewer states

Validate virtual gifting end-to-end — gift sends, balance updates, in-app purchase / payment flows

Write API and integration tests for the Node.js backend (Supertest, mongodb-memory-server)

Run manual and device-lab testing across iOS/Android, screen sizes, and OS versions

Set up crash monitoring and reporting (Sentry, Flipper)

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI)

Coordinate load testing of streaming and gifting services (k6 / Artillery)

Required (Essential)

Hands-on QA experience with a React Native app — this is essential

Experience testing a live streaming app with virtual gifting (or comparable real-time, high-concurrency product)

Strong with mobile E2E frameworks: Detox and/or Maestro (Appium a plus)

API testing experience against a Node.js + MongoDB backend (Postman/Insomnia, Supertest)

Solid understanding of testing async flows, in-app purchases, and system-level dialogs (permissions, payment sheets)

Familiarity with crash reporting tools (Sentry) and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to Have

Performance/load testing experience (k6, Artillery)

WebRTC or socket-based real-time feature testing

Device-lab tools (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
