QA Engineer -ERP

Job Purpose:

• Perform comprehensive quality assurance testing for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system implementations, customizations, and integrations.
• Ensure all delivered ERP features and modules meet business requirements, functional specifications, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and end-users to identify defects and verify fixes, ensuring reliable, scalable, and user-friendly ERP solutions

Primary Duties Performed:

• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements for Business Central ERP modules (Finance, SCM, CRM, Projects).
• Perform various testing types including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate ERP customizations, workflows, and integrations.
• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues, provide clear defect reports, and verify fixes.
• Prioritize and escalate critical defects to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for repetitive and regression testing where applicable.
• Use testing tools and frameworks suited for ERP testing to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support UAT sessions by coordinating with end-users and gathering feedback.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, results, and defect logs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, and best practices.
• Provide Quality support and troubleshooting issues across all Business Central modules.
• Monitor performance, apply system patches, and recommend performance optimization strategies.
• Support IT project planning, implementation timelines, and end-user training. Undertake such other tasks as and when required by the Chief Technology Officer

Qualifications and Experience Required :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Design and Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in quality assurance/testing of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP systems.

Strong knowledge of ERP business processes including Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, and Project Management.

Hands-on experience in test case design, defect tracking, and test execution. Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing. • Experience with test automation tools and scripting is a plus.

Experience in Dynamics 365 CRM development and workflow configuration.

Proficiency with SQL Server, data modeling, and data migration tools. • Strong experience in workflow automation, process optimization, and custom report/dashboard Testing (Power BI, RDLC).

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps) and deployment pipelines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to design scalable solutions. • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. Arabic language is an advantage. • Excellent organizational and time management skills and excellent interpersonal skills
