Inspector QA - Fort Miller Precast

Fort Miller Precast has a full time opportunity for a Quality Inspector in our concrete plant. The QA Inspector is responsible for all inspection duties, including pre-pour, pour and post-pour inspections. The QA Inspector will respond to questions on form set up or product specifications, involving engineering as appropriate. The QA Inspector is also responsible for inspecting repaired items, products being shipped and products being returned. QA Inspectors may be required to perform concrete testing and work in the QA laboratory.

Your role as a QA Inspector:

• Perform pre-pour, pour and post-pour inspections.
• Inspect repaired items, products being shipped and returned.
• Inspect incoming materials.
• Perform concrete testing in QA laboratory, as needed.

What we are looking for:

• Two years prior experience working with and interpreting concrete shop drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Must be able to obtain Level I ACI certification and NPCA Production and Quality School Certification.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of the production process, including engineering process, material flows, production and delivery schedules.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in an environment with constant interruptions.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
