The Opportunity: We are urgently seeking a highly qualified and experienced QA Inspector + Technical Assistant (Civil) to join our team on a critical project. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise to significant building construction projects in Doha, working within a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for a dual role, encompassing both Quality Assurance inspection and technical assistance to the project team. Key duties include:
- Quality Assurance Inspection:
- Conducting regular and thorough inspections of civil works and building construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, relevant codes and standards, and quality control procedures.
- Identifying non-conformities and defects, documenting findings accurately, and promptly reporting them to the relevant parties.
- Verifying that materials used meet specified requirements and are properly stored and handled.
- Witnessing and documenting key hold points and inspection stages as per the project Quality Plan.
- Ensuring all QA/QC documentation is maintained and filed correctly.
- Participating in the development and implementation of the project Quality Management System.
- Technical Assistance:
- Providing technical support to the project management and construction teams.
- Assisting in the review and interpretation of technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Supporting the verification of construction methods and sequencing.
- Contributing to the resolution of technical queries and issues arising on-site.
- Liaising with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure technical requirements are understood and met.
- Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and progress updates.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on construction quality assurance and control.
- Specialization: Proven experience in the construction of buildings.
- Consultancy Experience: Demonstrated experience working within a consultancy firm on construction projects.
- Certifications:
- Must possess a valid ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification.
- UPDA registration is NOT required for this position.
- Preferable Experience: Previous experience and approval from the Public Works Authority (PWA) in Qatar is highly desirable.
- Language: [Specify if English proficiency is required, e.g., Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.]

- Transportation: Must have own transportation for travel within Doha.
- Availability: Must be available to start work within two weeks, subject to client approval.
