QA QC Engineer (Mechanical)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications, technical drawings, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
  • Ensure compliance with approved WPS, ITPs, and quality procedures.
  • Perform dimensional checks and verify tolerances as per standards.
  • Coordinate and witness NDT activities (UT, MT, PT, RT) when required.
  • Monitor surface preparation, painting, and galvanizing processes.
  • Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, and material traceability records.
  • Raise NCRs for non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and third-party inspectors.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Relevant certifications, including AWS CWI or CSWIP, as well as ASNT Level II.

  • EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 8 years of experience as a Mechanical QC Inspector.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, WPS/PQR, visual inspection techniques and welding standards such as AWS D1.1, ASME and BS standards (optional).
Good understanding of coating/painting inspection/HDG/welding inspections and surface preparation standards (SSPC, ASTM A 123, NACE, AWSD1.1 basic knowledge is an advantage).
Experience in preparing ITPs, PQPs, method statements, NCRs and inspection documentation.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, isometrics, P&IDs and fabrication details.

Should be available for immediate joining or 1 month notice
Should have experience in technical sales
Should have experience in ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Qatar Experience in Poles manufacturing or Steel fabrication: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Qatar Driving License (Required)
