QA Specialist

Job Objective:We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient QA Specialist to ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of our Laravel, Vue.js, React.js, and MERN stack applications. The QA Specialist will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end QA process, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure that all deliverables meet internal and client-specific quality standards. Experience in web application testing, API testing, and a plus point for mobile app testing (iOS/Android) is highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

l Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI/UX testing for web applications built with Laravel, Vue.js, React.js, and MERN stack.

l Validate RESTful API endpoints using tools like Postman, ensuring correct request/response handling, data validation, and error handling.

l Ensure cross-browser compatibility across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, along with responsive testing on various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).

l Identify, document, and track bugs, issues, and inconsistencies using project management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

l Collaborate with developers to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure timely resolution of reported issues.

l Conduct performance testing of applications to assess page load speeds, server response times, and frontend/backend optimization.

l Review UI/UX consistency, adherence to design guidelines, and correctness of frontend implementations.

l Perform basic database validation (MySQL/MongoDB) to ensure data integrity across CRUD operations.

l Verify security and compliance aspects, especially in applications handling sensitive or transactional data.

l Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.

l Maintain detailed documentation of QA processes, test plans, test cases, and quality metrics.

l Optional/Plus Point: Test mobile applications (iOS/Android), ensuring performance, compatibility, and usability across devices.

l Work closely with Project Managers, Developers, UI/UX Designers, and DevOps teams to embed QA best practices across the SDLC.

l Identify process gaps and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA strategies and workflows.

Requirements

l Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

l Minimum 2+ years of QA experience in web and application testing, preferably within project-based or agency environments.

l Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and industry best practices.

l Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

l Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman, Swagger).

l Experience with automation tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).

l Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

l Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

l Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams.

l ISTQB certification or any equivalent QA certification is preferred.

l Exposure to mobile application testing (iOS/Android) will be considered a significant plus.
