QA/QC Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all civil construction works and materials comply with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. You will oversee inspection activities, maintain proper documentation, and liaise with consultants, third parties, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent quality and project integrity.
Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance & Quality Control:
• Conduct QA/QC inspections and surveillance in accordance with the approved Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and report non-conformities, and verify the implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure that quality records are generated, maintained, and readily available for audits, project reviews, and third-party assessments.
• Site Monitoring & Inspection:
• Monitor and inspect ongoing civil works including concreting, blockwork, soil backfilling, and other structural activities.
• Inspect incoming project materials such as concrete, rebar, and soil for compliance with quality requirements.
• Ensure timely inspection and quality verification of work at various stages of construction.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (INR), Requests for Material Inspection (RFMI), and related documentation.
• Coordinate with client representatives and third-party inspectors for witnessing sampling, testing, and inspections.
• Generate timely inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality documentation.
• Coordination:
• Liaise with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are being maintained.
• Attend regular project meetings to discuss quality issues and provide status updates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in QA/QC roles within civil construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, inspection procedures, and construction materials.
• Strong understanding of project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Experience working with ITPs, quality plans, and construction documentation.
• Excellent reporting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willing to join immediately.
