1. Quality System Management (QA)

  • Quality Planning: Assist the QA/QC Manager in developing, reviewing, and implementing the Project Specific Quality Plan (PQP) and project-specific procedures.
  • Documentation Control: Prepare, review, and maintain all quality-related documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, quality checklists, and final quality dossiers.
  • Process Compliance: Conduct regular internal audits and site surveillance to ensure the project team and subcontractors adhere to approved Method Statements, ITPs, and the PQP.
  • Material Submittals: Review and coordinate the technical submittal process for all construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, liaising with the Technical/Design team and Consultant for approval.

2. Quality Control & Inspection (QC)

  • Site Inspection: Conduct and coordinate all mandatory quality control inspections at various construction stages (Hold Points). This includes civil, structural, and architectural elements such as:
    Formwork and Reinforcement Steel inspection (rebar fixing and placement).
    Pre-pour inspection for concrete.
    Concrete temperature, slump, and cube/core sampling and testing coordination.
    Blockwork, plastering, tiling, painting, and other finishing works.
  • Request for Inspection (RFI): Prepare and submit RFIs to the Consultant/Client for work inspection and monitor their timely closure.
  • Material Inspection: Inspect all incoming materials delivered to the site to ensure they match approved samples, submittals, and are free from defects. Oversee proper material storage and preservation.
  • Testing Coordination: Coordinate all on-site and off-site laboratory testing of materials (e.g., concrete, soil, steel) with third-party laboratories, ensuring test results comply with specifications.

3. Non-Conformance Management

  • Issue Non-Conformances: Identify, document, and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports, and Deficiency Correction Notices for any non-compliant work, materials, or procedures.
  • Corrective Actions: Follow up and verify the implementation and effectiveness of all corrective and preventive actions (CPA) to close out NCRs and prevent recurrence.

4. Project Handover & Closure

  • Snagging & De-snagging: Participate actively in pre-handover inspections, joint snagging with the Client/Consultant, and ensure all snags related to civil/architectural works are rectified to specification.
  • Final Documentation: Compile and manage the final quality dossier (As-Built Quality Records, certificates, test reports, material approvals) required for project completion and handover.
