Qa/Qc Engineer Joinery

The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all joinery and interior fit-out works meet project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and client requirements. The role involves inspections, documentation, coordination with site teams, factory production monitoring, and compliance with project quality plans.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance (QA)

• Develop and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and applicable standards.
• Review material submittals and shop drawings for quality compliance.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project managers on quality-related matters.

2. Quality Control (QC)

• Perform inspections of joinery works (doors, wardrobes, cabinets, wall paneling, ceilings, etc.) in factory and at site.
• Monitor production processes in joinery workshop to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Conduct material receiving inspections and verify against approved samples.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Monitor installation works at site to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and records.

3. Testing & Finishing Control

• Inspect surface finishes (veneer, laminate, paint, polish, lacquer).
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and alignment during installation.
• Conduct snagging inspections and coordinate rectifications.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of finished products.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and site reports.
• Prepare weekly/monthly QA/QC reports.
• Coordinate with project team for closing comments from consultants.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Wood Technology, Interior Design Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in QA/QC within joinery and interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes and finishing standards.
• Familiarity with architectural drawings and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO quality standards (preferably ISO 9001).
• Experience working with consultants and main contractors

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
